Receive the gift.
Romans 10:9-10,13, Romans 6:23, Ephesians 2:8-9, John 5:24,
God has made it so easy for us to be reconciled to Himself. Jesus paid the penalty for our sin. All we have to do is believe in Him and receive Him as our Lord and Savior. It is a gift from God, and there is nothing that we can do to earn it.
Consequences of rejecting God’s gift.
Matthew 25:41, Revelation 20:15
Those who place their trust in Jesus as Savior have no need to fear death, because God’s Word says that for the believer death delivers them to the presence of the Lord (2 Corinthians 5:8), and that they will be with Him for all eternity (1 Thessalonians 4:17). But for those that reject the precious free gift of God’s salvation through Jesus – separation from God and torment in hell for eternity awaits them.
You can receive eternal life and a relationship with God through Jesus right now simply by asking Him through a simple prayer. There are no precise words – just a heart ready to believe and receive all that God wants to give you. You can pray something like this:
Dear Lord Jesus,
I am a sinner, and I need you to save me. Please forgive me of my sins, and come into my life right now. Thank you for giving your life on the cross for me, and now I want to live my life for You. In the name of Jesus I ask. Amen.
If you have prayed a prayer like this – confessing your sin to God and believing in Jesus Christ then you are a Christian, and God has written your name in the Book of Life!
God created the world.
Genesis 1:1, John 1:1-3, Acts 17:18-31
According to the Word of God this world, this universe had a beginning. God was before that beginning – He always has been and always will be (Psalm 90:2, 93:2). The world beginning began with the Creator God and His work of creation – “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” Genesis 1:1.
God created man.
During the creation of the world God created man and gave him dominion over the earth.
When God created the first man, Adam and gave him a wife, Eve – He loved them and and spent time with them daily. The world was perfect – there was no sin, no pain, no death. Everything was theirs to enjoy except one thing – they were not to eat of the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil.
Satan came to Eve in the form of a serpent, and tempted her saying that God was keeping from her the power to be like God. She gave in to the lie and ate the fruit and gave it to Adam who also ate it. Instead of becoming like God they lost their innocence and were given the knowledge of sin and it’s consequences.
Romans 5:12, Romans 3:23, Isaiah 59:2, Revelation 21:8
Because of their rebellion, Adam and Eve lost their free access to God, death and corruption began in them and in all creation. Paradise was lost. Death and hell waited, but…
A way back to God.
1 Peter 3:18, John 3:16, John 14:6, Romans 5:8, 2 Corinthians 5:21
God loves mankind so dearly that He made a way for man to make peace with Him. God is just and a penalty must be paid for sin, so He sent His Son, Jesus into the world. Jesus came to earth in the form of a human born of a virgin, Mary. He lived a sinless life, suffered much, and eventually died a sinner’s death by crucifixion. God placed all of mankind’s sin on Jesus, the perfect sacrifice. Jesus was buried, and three days later God raised Him from the dead. He met with His followers, and was seen by hundreds before He returned to God. He has gone to prepare an eternal dwelling place for those who will believe in Him.
